Employment and Labor Law:
I have prosecuted class action cases against large corporations for wage and hour violations including inaccurate wage statement claims, the failure to pay regular and overtime wages, and lunch break violations. I have recovered tens of millions of dollars for employees whose rights were violated in the workplace, including cases involving wage and hour claims, sexual harassment, discrimination on the basis of race, gender, color, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, religion, military service, family and medical leave, and whistle blower claims. I have also successfully defended employers facing discrimination and wage/hour lawsuits.

Civil Rights & Discrimination:
I have successfully prosecuted civil rights cases under Section 1983 against various government agencies that retaliated against my clients for disclosing misconduct by government officials.

I am admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the following U.S. District Courts: Southern District of California, Eastern District of California, Central District of California, and Northern District of California.

Activities:

Surfing and hiking with my two sons. In 1989, I backpacked the entire length of the 2,700 mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada.
